Robert J. Scahill

SCAHILL - Robert J. Of Lackawanna, NY, entered into rest April 23, 2021. Beloved husband of Eva H. (nee Ortiz) Scahill; devoted stepfather of Patrick (Angel) OBrien, Jacqueline Gonzalez and the late Michelle Gilson; cherished grandfather of many grandchildren and great- grandchildren; loving son of the late Robert and Eleanor Scahill; dear brother of Rose Scahill, Mrs. Greg Ferrand Kathy, Miss Peggy Pfalsgraff and the late Bryan Scahill; also survived by other relatives and friends. No prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Interment WNY National Cemetery. Robert was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and did several tours of duty. He was a lifelong resident of Lackawanna and graduated from Father Baker High School in 1966. Bob was wounded during combat and awarded the both the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. He received his BA degree from Canisius College and his JD from SUNY at Buffalo. Bob was loving, caring and a gentleman and he will be dearly missed.
