Robert R. Schwabl

Robert R. Schwabl, 96, of Lancaster, NY, passed away on September 1, 2024. Born on July 30, 1928, in Buffalo, NY , Robert dedicated many years of service as a plant engineer at Windfield Industries. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Army. Robert was a man of many passions; he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, a member of the Tonawanda Mens Golf League. Enjoyed bowling and was a member of many leagues throughout his life. He took great pleasure in collecting beer cans and bottles and had a special love for Monte Carlo cars, always eager to tinker and improve his cherished vehicles. He was the cherished husband of the late Eileen Schwabl, beloved father of Kathleen (Jeffery) Palumbo, and a loving grandfather of Eric Robert (Anna) Palumbo and the late Dana Marie Palumbo. He was also a proud great-grandfather of Charlotte Daisy Palumbo. Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Herman (Jeanette) Schwabl. A memorial mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, Tuesday, September 10 at 10:00 AM. Lombardo Funeral Home in Amherst, NY, is assisting the family with arrangements.
