Robert Duane Shappee

Shappee, Robert Duane, 84, of Snyder, entered into rest on November 22, 2023. Devoted husband of the late Arlene (nee Brunner) Shappee; beloved stepfather of Amy Serafin and Laura Silverman; cherished grandfather of Luc Leblanc, Stella Leblanc and Ayano Silverman; loving son of the late Harold Leroy and Amelia (nee Thomas) Shappee; dear brother of the late Kenneth Shappee and Mary Hyssong; also survived by adoring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of Roberts life will be held at Lombardo Funeral Home (Snyder Chapel), 4614 Main St. (near Harlem) on Sunday, December 3, at 11am. Contributions may be made in Roberts name to the Sisters Hospital Foundation, 2157 Main Street Buffalo, NY 14214. Robert was a Veteran of the US Army. He also was a Vice President for M&T Bank in Buffalo. Bob was an inspiration to everyone who knew him for his courage, optimism and ability to live life to the fullest despite extraordinary health challenges. Condolences may be made on this page.
