Beloved husband of Armida Whitfield; loving father of Yolanda Whitfield, Dewey Taylor, Danielle (Daryll) Scott, and Marshene (Charles) Davis; cherished grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 7; devoted son of the late Robert E. and Marguerite (nee Simmons) Whitfield; dear brother of Kevin (Sharon) Brown), Pamela R. Whitfield, and the late Delmar (Yvonne) Simmons; son-in-law of Geraldine Dewer; brother-in-law of Penny (Eddie) Sayles, Geraldine Moore, Donna (Sam) Turner, and the late Josephine (Dana) Gore; nephew of Mildred Reed and Jeanette Simmons; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
