SAELI - Ronald L. Of Orchard Park, previously of Mayville, entered into rest March 13, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Oesher) Saeli; devoted father of Ronald J. (Ann) Saeli, Robert (Susan) Saeli, Ellen (Richard White), and the late Richard Saeli; cherished grandfather of Elena Saeli, Anna (Bill) Schurmatz, Katie Patti, Emily (Jack Horton) Saeli, Amanda Saeli, Conner Saeli, and Nicholas Turner; adored great-grandfather of Zoe and Eddie; loving son of the late Frank and Grace (nee Mancuso) Saeli; dear brother of late Frank Saeli, Sr., Joseph Saeli, and Vincent Saeli; also survived by many family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Wednesday from 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Basilica, 767 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna, on Thursday morning at 9:15 AM (please assemble at church). Ron was an educator within the Mayville Central School District for 32 years teaching industrial arts and driver education. After retiring from teaching, he brought those skills to Private Industry Council of Chautauqua County creating workforce development training programs for local industry, eventually placing trainees into full time jobs. While teaching at Mayville Central School he was proud to be the coach of the first girls varsity basketball team formed after the Title IX Education Amendment of 1972. He also coached JV boys basketball and little league baseball. Rons community activities included St. Marys RC Church of Mayville and served as the Town Justice for the Town of Chautauqua. He was a tremendous advocate for education and its ability to ensure success in life. He was a proud father, grandfather, and loving husband and will be sorely missed by many who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Rons honor to Buddys Second Chance Rescue, 2813 Niagara St., Buffalo.
