GEORGE (nee Mastrantonio)- Rose Marie of Amherst, entered into rest November 1, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas George; devoted mother of David (Cynthia) George, Lisa (Joseph) Pittari, Mary Beth (Jeffrey Bonk) George, John (Mary Pat) George, and Michael George; cherished grandmother of Nicholas (Brittany), Thomas George, Joseph (Kathryn), Elizabeth, Anthony Pittari, Sophie (Tommy) Yaramishyan, Katherine, Abigail (David) Bonk, and Lucia George; adored great-grandfather of Joseph, George Pittari, and Ariella Yaramishyan; dear daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (nee D'Avanzato) Mastrantonio; caring sister of James Mastrantonio.

Rose Marie was an amazing cook and an even more spectacular mother. She took great pride in organizing and preparing family get-togethers. She was able to learn recipes and improve upon them. She loved to travel and expand her knowledge and experiences. She was a lifelong Bills backer and enjoyed following the Yankees. She earned her bachelor’s in pharmacology from University of Buffalo and worked as a pharmacist for many years, most notably for Rite Aid. Rose Marie enjoyed watching the Carol Burnett show with her family. They could barely hear the show, because she was laughing so loud. Later she got into watching old Western TV shows. She was a life-long learner, whether continuing education for her profession or classes on cooking or art.

Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., Sunday, November 8th from 12-3 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct., Williamsville on Monday, November 9th at 10:30 AM, please assemble at Church. Entombment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
