Rose Marie Netter

April 7, 1936 — July 27, 2023

Rose Marie Netter has passed on leaving a legacy of kindness and strength to her 6 children and their families: Cheryl (Dave) Bailey, Karen (James) Lowery, Lori (Randy) Ellman, Karl, Keith, & Craig (Amanda) Roesch. "Grandma Rosie" was born on her aunts kitchen table at the tail end of what was known as the St. Patricks Day Snow Storm during The Great Depression to John & May (Anderschott) in the city of Buffalo. After graduating from Kensington High School with a secretarial certificate, Rosie worked as a store clerk and secretary for several years until her first baby (Cheryl) was born. Her incredible typing skills, personality and beautiful smile made her an exceptional employee. Later in life after surviving a brain tumor which left her with balance issues and deafness in her right ear, Grandma Rosie would walk down the street to Spruce Elementary to be a foster-grandma to help in the classroom where she worked for 7 years. The rest of Rosies life was devoted to her ever-growing family that would eventually have 10 grandchildren and 12 great-children. She will be sadly missed by her loving grandchildren: Alisha Gaynor, Amanda (Tim) Taylor, Brieanna (Bill) Patti, Carissa (Rob) Sugar, Alissa (Paul) Girdler, Jake (Danielle) Lowery, Alexandra, Matt (Wendy) Lowery, Ryan & Jason Roesch, and step-granddaughter McKayla. Grandma Rosie has also been blessed with a dozen great-grandchildren who will also continue her legacy: Andrew, Luke, Dominic, DJ, Rosie, Liam, Kai, Sydney, Vera, Theo, David, and Aria. Other family include her late sister Lorraine (late King Scheelar) the late John (late Jamie) along with dozens of nieces & nephews and their children. Rosies life was rich beyond her means All that she ever needed was time with her family and a phone call from her friends, some scratch-off lottery tickets so she could win something big to share with her family, and any sweet & delicious treat, especially ice cream. Love, Your Ever-growing Family There will be no wake and no service. The immediate family will have a private get together to bury her ashes at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Mental Health Advocates of WNY (mhawny.org) or buy yourself a scratch-off lottery ticket and think of Rosie "hitting the jackpot" as she enters heaven.
