Rose M. Orzech

ORZECH - Rose M. (nee Chlebowy) Of Lackawanna, born January 23, 1925 and entered into eternal rest February 4, 2017, beloved wife of the late Thaddeus E. Orzech; devoted mother of Dr. Mary Jo Orzech, Kathleen Orzech (Edward Bowman), Dr. Patricia Orzech (Robert Puleo), Dr. Bonnie Orzech (Bert Nixon) and Francis Orzech (Mary Jo); cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren; loving daughter of the late Frank and Maryanna Chlebowy; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Prayers will be said Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Basilica at 10:30 AM. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Rose centered her life around her family. She supported her husband, the Honorable Thaddeus Orzech, former Mayor of Lackawanna and her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cause for the Canonization of Father Baker or a charity of your choice
