Rosemarie
Ayers
Aug 17, 1933 — Aug 19, 2026
Of Orchard Park, entered into rest on August 18, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Ayers and the late Anthony L. Grasso DDS.; devoted mother of Mary Louise Grasso Enser, Lynn Marie (Michelangelo) Bartolotta, Anthony (Karen) Grasso, Peter (Kathleen) Grasso, John (Mary) Ayers, Michael Ayers, James (Sherri) Grasso, and Thomas Ayers; cherished grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of 11; dear daughter of the late James and Louise (nee Yoviene) Williams; adored sister of the late Joan Leslie, John Williams, James Williams, and Elizabeth Walsh; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Rosemarie Williams was born on August 17, 1933, in Lackawanna, NY, the third child of James (Zagarino) and Louise (nee Yoviene) Williams. Rosemarie was the middle child of a family of five. She had two older siblings, Joan and John, and two younger siblings, James, and Betty. She married her high school sweetheart, Anthony Grasso, and raised five children (Mary Louise, Lynn Marie, Anthony, Peter, and James) in West Seneca, NY. Rosemarie worked as an x-ray technician in her early years, and her husband Anthony was a dentist who built a thriving practice but tragically passed away in August 28, 1968, at the age of 35. She found love again and married Edward Ayers in 1972 and added three additional sons to her family (John, Michael, and Thomas). When they became "empty nesters," they relocated to Orchard Park, NY, and Boynton Beach, FL (classic "snowbirds") and they traveled extensively throughout The United States, Canada, and Europe. They enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Ed also passed away too soon on August 23, 2002, at the age of 67.
Rosemarie continued to reside in both NY and FL throughout her life and continued to travel with friends and family. Rosemarie will be remembered as a kind and caring person, who was devoted to her family, which meant the world to her. Rosemarie reflected just recently that she was happy to have lived a wonderful and long life.
