Sandra Welcher Holloway, 84, of Buffalo, New York, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Sandra was born to Harold and Effie Mae (Henderson) Welcher on July 11, 1940 in Massillon, Ohio.
Preceded in death by her life partner of 44 years, Edward Ketchmore.
She leaves behind her 5 loving children, Gregory Holloway, Nikki Holloway, Chyrisse Holloway, Michelle Holloway and Julie French who she shared a special-daughter bond with; 6 beloved grandchildren, Neeka Lockett, Gregory French, Tiffany Moore, Alonzo Holloway, Iesha Gardner and Alex Holloway; 14 great-grandchildren and blessed with 3 precious great-great-granddaughters. She also leaves behind numerous extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
As a member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, she proudly served under the leadership of Pastor Jeffrey C. Chambless. In 2015, she was appointed as a Mother of the Church where she proudly served faithfully until the Lord called her home. The best times of her life was being a member of the church since 2014 where she enjoyed the fellowship. As her medical condition declined, she was saddened deeply that she could no longer attend services. She spoke weekly, if not daily, to her son of the fond memories she had of the pastor’s teachings and prayer support, of Pastor Chambless himself, and her fellowship with other members.
Sandra Rosetta Welcher Holloway will be greatly missed.
Rest in Heaven, until we meet again- Mom and Grandma.
