Shamura Rainey

Ms. Shamura J. Rainey had her sunrise on October 2, 1978, and her sunset on October 2, 2025. Shamura was the third of four siblings and enjoyed the fast attention of her mother and her sister and brother. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Shamura began ice skating at an early age. She excelled in the sport and soon joined a South Buffalo skating club. Her tenure at the club soon ended with the passing of her beloved Mom. Shamura is a graduate of Buffalo Public schools and last attended Burgard High School, beginning her work life career shortly thereafter. Shamura was preceded in death by her mother, Delilah Rainey and her brother, Byron Rainey. She leaves to cherish her memory her "dad" stepfather, Kenneth F. Ross; two daughters: Kayahnna Singletary and Elisha Rainey; four sons: Maurice Rainey, Fayahn Rainey, Stephon Kiner, and Zayahn Rainey, all of Buffalo, New York; a sister: Samantha Rainey; a brother, Quinn (Schateka) Ross; a very special person, who has "been there" for her and her children, whom she loved and who loved her, Mr. Jessie McCullough. Shamura also leaves behind a devoted nephew, Keyon Ross, and cousin, Jordan L. Wise, and a host of other cousins, family members and friends.
