Sheila L. Fox

Sheila Fox (Hart), age 69, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in Buffalo, New York. Born on December 8, 1955, in Olean, New York, to Lillian and John Hart. Sheila lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for her family and community. A proud United States Marine, Sheila served with honor in the 1970s in San Diego, California. Though she carried her service with humility, those who knew her understood the depth of her commitment and the resilience that defined her character. Her time in the military was just one chapter in a life filled with dedication—to her country, to her work, and most importantly, to her loved ones. Sheila spent much of her professional life at Olean Advanced Products and Cutco. She was known as a loyal and dedicated worker whose reliability and integrity left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike. Her quiet determination and thoughtful nature made her not only a valued employee but also a trusted confidant. At home, Sheila found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved reading and spending time outdoors, especially when basking in the warmth of the sun. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and took immense pride in watching her grandchildren grow into their own unique selves. Sheila is survived by her three children: Lee (Rachel) Hawkins, Heather (Brandon) Greene, and Heidi (Bill) Dougherty, as well as 4 grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved siblings: Karen Hart; John (Robin) Hart; Shirley (Peter) Bonanno; Debbie (Al) Neer; Maureen (Jim) Fitzgerald; Billie Schmidt; Michael Hart; and Teresa Hart. Her love for them was steadfast and enduring. She now joins in eternal rest her beloved husband Roger Fox; her brothers Kevin and Richard Hart; and her parents John and Lillian Hart. Those who knew Sheila will remember her as a thoughtful soul—introspective yet courageous when it mattered most. She stood firmly for what was right and extended kindness not only to close friends but to anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. A survivor through life’s many challenges, she remained grounded by love—for animals (especially dogs), for nature’s quiet beauty, and above all else, for family. May Sheila’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of strength, compassion, and quiet dignity will live on through all whose lives she touched.
