SORGE - Sheila M. (nee Millich) Of Wheatfield, formerly of Orchard Park, entered into rest December 23, 2017; beloved wife of Andrew D. Sorge; devoted mother of Alexandria G., Daniel C. and James A. Sorge; loving daughter of Robert "Butch" (Nancy) Millich and Theresa A. (late Arthur T.) Sullivan; dear sister of Robert D. (April R.) Millich, Jr., Tammy Evans and Michael Millich; fond daughter-in-law of Douglas and Elizabeth Sorge of Milton, WI; fond sister-in law of Brian (Kim) Sorge of Janesville, WI; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Friday (December 29th), from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park, on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Please assemble at church. Sheila M. Sorge, 51, special education teacher Sheila Marie Sorge, of Wheatfield, a special education teacher, died Saturday in Roswell Park Cancer Institute after a short illness. She was 51. Born in Buffalo, the former Sheila Millich was a 1984 graduate of Orchard Park High School. She earned a bachelors degree in English from Niagara University and completed a masters degree in special education at Buffalo State College. She was a teacher in the West Valley Central School District for several years, then taught elementary grades in the Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District in Rio Rico, Ariz., after she was married. Mrs. Sorge returned to Western New York with her family in 2007 and was a full-time substitute special education teacher in North Tonawanda Middle School and High School for two years, then taught for two years at Frontier Central High School and one year at Frontier Middle School. Earlier this year she began teaching at Gateway Longview in Williamsville. She also taught first grade religious education classes at St. Christophers Catholic Church in the Town of Tonawanda. Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Andrew; a daughter, Alexandria; two sons, Daniel and James; her father, Robert Butch Millich; her mother, Theresa A. Sullivan; two brothers, Robert D. Millich Jr. and Michael Millich; and a sister, Tammy Evans.
