In Loving Memory of Sheri Lynn Schuh

Sheri Lynn Schuh, 55, passed away on July 23, 2026. Born on February 4, 1971, in Buffalo, New York, Sheri lived life on her own terms and never wavered from being true to herself.

From an early age, Sheri was independent, strong-willed, and determined. She never followed the crowd, choosing instead to carve her own path with confidence and conviction. Long before it was widely accepted, Sheri had the courage to live openly and authentically. She faced adversity with strength and grace, stood firmly by her beliefs, and inspired others simply by refusing to be anyone other than herself. Her authenticity became one of her defining qualities and earned the admiration of those who knew her.

Sheri was known for her toughness, fearless spirit, resilience, and unwavering loyalty. Those fortunate enough to know her understood that if Sheri cared about you, she would stand by you through anything. She fiercely protected those she loved and stood up for those who could not always stand up for themselves. She earned the respect of friends, family, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her strength, compassion, and authenticity left a lasting impression on countless people throughout Buffalo and beyond.

Although Sheri never had children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She found great joy in watching them grow and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, encourage them, and spoil them.

Sheri had a lifelong passion for cars and was a talented mechanic. She enjoyed buying, repairing, and selling them. She also loved dogs, often joking that she loved dogs more than people. She had an eye for fashion, enjoyed the excitement of a day at the casino, and appreciated the simple things that brought happiness to those around her.

Throughout her life, Sheri faced numerous health challenges. Despite enduring a variety of chronic medical conditions, she remained remarkably strong and resilient. After suffering a serious back injury that ultimately left her disabled, her health continued to decline. But through it all, she faced each day with the same determination, courage, and fighting spirit that had defined her throughout her life.

Sheri shared a deep and enduring, decades-long bond with Lori Davis, her longtime partner and best friend. Through years of life's joys and hardships, Lori remained a constant source of love, friendship, and unwavering support. Especially during Sheri's declining health, Lori cared for her with extraordinary compassion and devotion. Their bond was built on deep love, loyalty, and a lifetime of shared memories. Sheri was also blessed by the love and support of her cousins, Annie Ricotta and Sandy Shawver, her close friend Candice Preston, and the wonderful caregivers who cared for her with compassion and love throughout her journey.

Sheri is survived by her brothers, Michael Schuh and Danny Schuh; her sisters, Darlene Daniel, Denyce Grehalva, and Laurie Whitcomb; her aunt, Mary Ann Candido; her uncle, Joseph Daly; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Adel, Alex, Angie, Angela, Chris, Jolie, José, Lisa, Missy, Oscar, Rosa, Steven, and Tina. She is also survived by her dogs, Louie and Kita, whom she

loved with all her heart, and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Schuh; her father, Bruce Whitley; her brother, Victor Schuh; her sister, Valerie Alvarado; her grandparents; her aunt and uncles; and the many beloved dogs who brought her immeasurable joy throughout her life.

She never measured her life by how well she fit in, but by how faithfully she remained true to herself, and that is exactly how she will be remembered.

Sheri will be remembered for her fearless spirit, unwavering loyalty, remarkable strength, and the love she gave so freely to those closest to her, and even to those she had just met. She lived authentically, loved deeply, and left an unforgettable mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

In accordance with Sheri's wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes, together with the ashes of the precious dogs she cherished throughout her life, will be scattered in a place of natural beauty.

Sheri's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
