Stephen Strnad

Of Hamburg, entered into rest January 8, 2015. Beloved husband of Frances M. (nee Carmody) Strnad; devoted father of Joseph Strnad (Dawn), Grace (Joseph) Cesareo, Marianne (Robert) Tomani, Tina (David) Peters, Celina Strnad-Taylor and the late Lisa Hauret; cherished grandfather to Justin (Jamie), Stephanie (Charles), Christina, Robert, Katherine, Matthew, Brittney, Nicolette, Stephen, Billy and Jack; adored great-grandfather of Ryan, Nathan, Liam, Jay and Connor; loving son of the late Stephen and Mary (nee Karaga) Strnad; dear brother of Joseph (Sara) Strnad, Mary (late James) Thompson, Alice (Art) Roorda, Rudolph (Helen) Obad, Leo (Melody) Obad, Julia Zagarino, Irene Warner, Stanley (Ralph) Obad, George (Jackie) Obad, Charles (Christine) Obad and the late Frank (late Florence) Strnad and late Louis (Bernice) Obad; also survived by daughter Michelene and many family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Saturday from 6-8 PM and Sunday from 3-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Bistrica Church, 1619 Abbott Rd., Lackawanna on Monday morning at 9 o'clock. (Please assemble at church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Strnad is a Army Veteran of WW II. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scranton Volunteer Fire Co., 5395 Scranton Rd., Hamburg, NY 14075 in Stephen's memory.
