ALVAREZ, Steven P. February 21, 1974 December 22, 2023 Entered into rest suddenly, December 22, 2023. Beloved husband of Julie (nee Olsen) Alvarez; devoted father of Nicholas Gallagher, Joshua Gallagher, Jude Alvarez and Grace Alvarez; cherished grandfather of Grayson and Adeline Gallagher; loving son of Steven and Virginia Alvarez; dearest brother of Christopher (Michelle) Alvarez; adored uncle of Noelle, Christian and Elijah Alvarez; also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Steven was employed for 23 years at the Buffalo Police Department, most recently as an Investigator for the Accident Investigation Unit. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Thursday (December 28) from 2-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas RC Church, 450 Abbott Rd., South Buffalo on Friday morning at 9:30AM. Please assemble at Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
