Thomas J. Hoffman

July 15, 1940 — March 20, 2025

Of Amherst, entered into rest March 20, 2025.  Beloved husband of Carol (nee Peszko) Hoffman. Loving father of Timothy Alan and Jennifer Lynn Hoffman - Sheridan (James). Son of the late Raymond J. and Cecilia Hoffman. Dear brother of Mary Alice Ryba (late Vincent) and Carol Randall - Kuhn (late Joseph) and was brother-in-law of the late Barbara (late Robert) Schroeder. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to niece Nancy Barclay.  After graduating from Bishop Fallon High School and Canisius College, he served as an active-duty Artillery Officer (lt.) in the US ARMY from 1963 to 1965, and as a Captain in the Army Reserves from 1965 to 1970.  He joined the Big E (Empire of America Bank) and rose to the level of Sr. Vice President.  In 1992, he and his wife of 62 years, moved to Richmond, VA where he worked at the Martin Agency as a Sr. Vice President and returned in 2000.  Tom was a lifelong golfer. He was elected Captain of his high school and college golf teams and was a Charter member of the Glen Oak Golf Club. No Prior Visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Amelia's Church, 2999 Eggert Rd., Tonawanda on Saturday March 29, 2025 at 9:30am (please assemble at church). Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo or Roswell Park Hospital in memory of Thomas.
