Of Tonawanda, entered into rest June 12, 2013. Beloved husband of Mary Jane (nee Achtziger) LaVean; devoted father of Deborah (Jim) Austin, Linda Lorich, Thomas A. LaVean and Katherine (Gary) Slomba; cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Wilford and Rose Marie LaVean; dear brother of Pat (James) Prosper and the late Maxine, Lorraine and Donald (Marie); also survived by relatives and friends. Mr. LaVean was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
