Thomas A. Makeyenko

June 3, 1959 — August 21, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Thomas Albert Makeyenko, affectionately known as Tommy/ Boulder, of Lackawanna, New York. He was the beloved son of the late Albert "Milky" and Virginia Makeyenko (nee Susi). Tom departed this world on August 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by his family and friends forever.



Tom is survived by his devoted spouse, Doris Makeyenko and his loving siblings Kathleen (Richard) Walters, Lynn (Brian) Illg, John (Sissy) Makeyenko, Julie (Dominic) Fulciniti and the late Anthony (Janet) Susi; fondest cousin Anthony (Stacey) Susi. He was also a cherished son-in-law to the late Luis and Margarita Marchany, brother-in-law to Bilma Sosa, Edga Howard, Margaret Marchany, and Brenda (David) Hidalgo. Tom will be deeply missed by his many nephews, nieces, and cousins, as well as his aunts, Theresa Gemmati and Mary Violanti.


A passionate sports enthusiast, Tom was a diehard Bills fan who brought joy to those around him. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from NY State Corrections, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. His presence will be greatly missed, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Road, Orchard Park, on Sunday (August 24) from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Road, Orchard Park.
