Thomas Charles Novelli, age 81, beloved husband of Sharlene Ann Novelli (nee Abramo) for 50 years, peacefully passed away. He was a dear brother to Marilyn Privitere (late Francis) and the late Suzanne Buttino (Anthony), and leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Thomas was a distinguished graduate of Canisius College School of Business and Bishop Timon High School. Throughout his professional career, he served as a semi-retired Management Consultant, Executive Vice President of Elrae Industries in Alden, NY, and Vice President/General Manager of Acro Industries Inc. in Rochester, NY. He also held several managerial positions at the Ford Motor Company's Buffalo Stamping Plant, among many others. Tom's dedication extended beyond his professional life. He served on the Boards of Industrial Advisors for Rochester Institute of Technology, Monroe Community College, and the Rochester Board of Education, as well as Erie Community College and the Buffalo Board of Education. Thomas was also a former educator in Buffalo with the Buffalo Board of Education and the Buffalo Diocese. Tom was the proud recipient of multiple recognitions and awards, including those from the Rochester Tool & Die Association (Past President), the Frank Gillette Award of Excellence, Rochester Machining Institute (Board member), Rochester Institute of Technology (advisor & lecturer), Canisius College (guest lecturer), and the Buffalo Chapter of SCORE, where he received Meritorious Service Awards and Distinguished Service Awards, among others. Beyond his professional and philanthropic pursuits, Tom found joy in the 1000 Islands boating and fishing on the St. Lawrence River with his family. An avid reader, he volunteered his time to help those in need and cherished moments of travel and vacationing with his loved ones. Thomas Charles Novelli will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his significant contributions to the business and education communities, and his compassionate service to those seeking guidance in the world of small business.
