Michaels, Ward Leo, 76, of Lockport, entered into rest on July 4, 2024 at Niagara Hospice. Devoted husband of 21 years to Sheila (nee Mors) Michaels; devoted father of Robert John Mors, Jr., Douglas Edward Michaels and Christina (Michael Wesley Allen) Allen; cherished grandfather of Dallas Mors, Colton Mors, Zachary Mors, Brenden Mors, Clayton Allen and Seth Allen; adored great-grandfather of Sawyer Mors, Grayson Mors and Riley Mors; loving son of the late Leo John and Florence Marie (nee Gaupp) Michaels; also survived by friends and his beloved Shih-Tzu companion, Theodore Roosevelt Michaels. Ward was an electrical engineer, working at Delphi and Kaufmanns Bakery during his career. He loved to watch Western movies and NCIS. He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed reading his Steven King book collection and running his model trains in the basement of his home. Ward was the envy of his family and friends. He adored sweets and snacks, eating chocolate bars, Reeses cups, donuts, chips and indulged every day but never gained a pound! Ward was a volunteer fireman for 49-years at Adams Volunteer Fire Company where he served as a bingo caller for many years. He never knew a stranger and could converse with anyone he met. Above all, his family was everything to Ward. He will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather who could be found walking Theodore at any time of the day.
