MARX - William F. "Bill" Of Derby, entered into rest suddenly on March 5, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Rhea (nee Manion) Marx; devoted father of Kathleen (Glenn) Griveas, Joe Marx (David Frech), Mary (John) Lynch and Sharon Harrell (Dan Welch); loving companion of Marian Meyers; cherished grandfather of John Griveas, Natalie Montegue, Jennifer Griveas, Brian Harrell and Rheanne Harrell; adored great grandfather of Xander and Paige; dear brother of the late Shirley and the late Peg; much-loved uncle of several nieces and nephews. Bill had a long and rewarding career in Buffalo including the telephone company, the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, Discover Card and more all culminating in his resolute dedication to promoting and advocating for peace and social justice and education for alternatives to violence. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 4737 Lakeshore Rd., Hamburg on Thursday morning at 9:30 oclock. Please assemble at Church. Interment Nativity Cemetery.
