William N. Smith

July 27, 1944 — April 13, 2024

William "Bill" Smith July 28, 1944 ~ April 13, 2024 SMITH, WILLIAM - Its with incredible sadness and shock that we announce the unexpected passing of William Norman Smith (Bill) of Amherst, NY on April 13th. Beloved husband of the late Helen Connie Smith (nee Mulhall), Bill was so loved by so many friends and family, with a special place in his heart for his Toronto family Marsha, Scott and Charlie Greig. Bill had an unbelievable way of making everyone he knew feel like family. This couldnt be closer to the truth than with his business partner Kamran Mazhar, his wife Nazia and their family, as well as his close friends Michael Szafranski, Jim Lis, Alan Miller and Greg Stachowski, Jerri and Joe Weppner - and so many, many more. We know hell be forever missed by his friends at the Wehrle Diner, Russells Restaurant and by all his friends in Toronto. Originally from Niagara Falls, Canada, Bill was a longtime member of the Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors, most recently with Signature Real Estate Services. He was an active church community member of Christ the King Church and an active member of the Buffalo Yacht Club. Bill was a member of the Amherst Republican Party and was a proud Air Force Veteran. He will be laid to rest later this year with full Veterans honours and his beloved Connie by his side. As much as Bill loved spending time with his family and friends, perhaps his most cherished time was with his dog and best friend, Stuart. Friends and family are invited to share in a celebration of his life on Monday, May 6 at 9:30am at Christ the King (30 Lamarck Drive, Snyder), followed by a Prosecco Reception at Bills home, from 11am until 1pm. In lieu of flowers, we request a donation be made in Bills honor to the Ontario Veterinary College Pet Trust, which is dedicated to improving and advancing companion health and well-being through innovative discoveries, education and health. https://bbis.alumni.uoguelph.ca/BBIS_Cannon/give/ovcpettrust-tribute
