Yow-Wu Bill Wu

WU - Yow-Wu Bill went into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 30, 2021. He was surrounded by family and passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home in Amherst, NY. Yow-Wu was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was born in Taiwan in 1950 and came to the United States as a Graduate student in 1977. He received a PhD from UB and continued his career as a Statistics Professor at the UB School of Nursing Department. Dr. Wu dedicated 33 years to teaching and retired in 2018. He was loved and respected by his family, friends, colleagues, and students. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him spoke of his warm heart, his bright smile, and his dedication to his family, church, and his career. The family is planning a private funeral service following Covid procedures. They are forever grateful for their community that has surrounded them with endless love, care, and encouragement.
