COPE, Zella M. (nee Pineau) of West Seneca, entered into peaceful rest on October 22, 2026 surrounded by family. Devoted mother of Darlene (David) Kirsch, Zella “Rae” (Tom) Carier, Cheri (Tom) Dugan, and Troy (Deborah) Cope; cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Jessica, Alyssa, Katie, Brian, Elise, Shane, and Nathan; adored great-grandmother of Joshua, Brandon, Lily, Kaleigh, Julia, Jordan, Lily, Kai, Maryn, Leo, Philip, Annabelle, Brynn, and great-great grandmother of Zayden and Brayden; loving daughter of the late John Peter and Marguerite Mary Pineau; dear sister of Bette (late Roy) Hornberger, Grace (late Joe) Bainbridge, late Rose (late Don) McCarthy, late Yvonne (late Jim) Gardner, and the late Hubert (Denise) Pineau; former wife of the late Fred Cope and his children Jay, Cindy, Fred, Pat, David, and Amanda; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. No prior visitation. 

A private family Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in North Collins, NY and a Homegoing Memorial Service to be announced at later date. Zella’s family would like to personally thank Hospice Buffalo for all their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
