ZLATEV - Zlatko Z Zorro Of Orchard Park, NY, entered into rest suddenly March 10, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Nancy (nee Hercek) Zlatev; devoted father of Dimitar (Deanna) Pavlov of Varna, Bulgaria, Paula (Mark) Taton of West Seneca, and Michael (Lesley) Zlatev of Delmar, NY; cherished grandfather of Bojana (Stelian), Zlatko (Jenya), Milo, Luca, Olivia, and Lily; adored great- grandfather of Presian, Dimitar, Doroteya, and Krisiya; loving son of the late Pavel and Petra Ivanov; also survived by family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Monday from 3-7 PM. Flowers gratefully declined. Zlatkov was born in Bulgaria where he fled across the border to Greece with his friends to escape communist rule at the age of 19. After living in refugee camps for several months, he came to the United States. On the day he arrived, President Kennedy was assassinated. Zlatko taught himself English and worked as a Commercial Painter until he opened two local bars, Zorros in Depew, and the Zzzzs in Cheektowaga. Prior to retirement, he returned to construction trades.
